THF to address Connecticut audience on Aug 29
Donald Hooton Talk on August 29
All coaches, trainers and parents of high school and college athletes are invited to a free seminar Wednesday, Aug 29 from 6-8 pm on “Athletes, Steroids and Rx Drug Misuse.”
The event will be at Norwalk City Hall and the featured speaker is Donald Hooton, vice president of the Taylor Hooton Foundation, the nation’s leading organization dedicated to educating our youth and their adult influencers on the dangers of appearance and performance enhancing drugs.
The foundation was formed in 2004 when his son Taylor, an outstanding high school baseball player, committed suicide following his use of anabolic steroids.
The second portion of the seminar will include a presentation called “Maximizing Your Role as a Teen Influencer: What You Can Do to Help Prevent Teen Prescription Drug Abuse.” Dinner will be served. Space is limited. Please RSVP to mbartoli@ryasap.org by August 24.
