FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE TAYLOR HOOTON FOUNDATION AND NFL’s ATLANTA FALCONS EXTEND PARTNERSHIP TO INCLUDE STEROID EDUCATION IN YOUTH CLINICS McKinney, Texas (April 11, 2018) – The Taylor Hooton Foundation announced today an extension through 2018 of its partnership with the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons to bring awareness of the dangers of Appearance and Performance-Enhancing Substances to the team’s youth football clinics. “The Taylor Hooton Foundation is honored to have been a part of the Atlanta Falcons’ unique educational youth football clinics for the past six years,” said THF President Donald Hooton, Jr. “We thank the Falcons organization for including frank talk about the dangers of Appearance and Performance-Enhancing Substances in what kids and their adult influencers need to know.” Widely acknowledged as the leader in the advocacy against appearance and performance enhancing drug use by the youth of America, the Hooton Foundation began its partnership with the Falcons in 2013 and has participated in more than 50 youth clinics with the team throughout the state of Georgia. “We have partnered with the Taylor Hooton Foundation for many years and they have been an incredible addition to our youth and high school football events,” said Chris Millman, Atlanta Falcons Director of Community Relations. “The information they provide is incredibly important to our local community. In an era where there is so much misinformation, to have a key partner like this one who can provide accurate detailed data on this topic is critical. We hope to be able to work closely with them for many years to come.” The Atlanta Falcons’ football clinics provide helpful information to Moms who have children that are considering or currently playing tackle football and include both on and off the field instruction. Classroom instruction includes topics such as equipment fitting, concussion awareness, proper tackling techniques as well as education about the dangers of Appearance and Performance-Enhancing Substances.
