S01 E16:  NSF Certified for Sport Program – Brian Jordan

From his childhood days of being an athlete, Brian Jordan has always been passionate about sport and helping people.  His career path led him to becoming a Major League Strength Coach with the Colorado Rockies where he helped train and take care of some of the world’s best and highest paid athletes.

Today Brian helps run the top 3rd Party Certification program when it comes to Dietary Supplements.  In today’s episode we’re going to talk with Brian about his career in MLB and what led him to pivot into the vast landscape of Dietary Supplements.  Brian is the Technical Manager for the NSF Certified for Sport program which is widely recognized as the “gold standard” when it comes to 3rd Party Dietary Supplement Certification.

Tune into this episode to take a look into the world of dietary supplements and why as consumers we need to know what we’re purchasing, because sometimes we could unintentionally be putting harmful and even illegal substances into our bodies.  Brian is going to educate us on what it means when a product is 3rd Party Certified as well as walk us through the NSF Certified for Sport Program.  After hearing this podcast, you will have a better understanding of the dietary supplement world, but you will also have an appreciation as to why it’s important if you or a loved one is consuming a dietary supplement, why you should consider only purchasing supplements that have gone through the NSF certification process.  These are the same certified products that are recommended for Olympic Athletes, Major League Baseball players, National Football League players as well as the National Hockey league and other professional sports/leagues.

Be sure to download the NSF Certified for Sport App to verify the products you’re purchasing and consuming have been tested and free of over 270 banned substances.
