North Smithfield High School
The Taylor Hooton Foundation (THF) is an organization committed to educating America’s youth about the dangers of appearance and performance enhancing drugs (APEDs). In partnership with the Hooton Foundation and the Rhode Island Interscholastic League, North Smithfield High School is proud to offer an opportunity for all students and parents to attend a very important presentation about the dangers of these substances.
On Thursday, December 5th all NSHS students will view a 1-hour interactive presentation during the school day. That evening, at 6:00 PM, all parents/guardians are welcome to attend a special parent presentation. The parent presentation will also last 1 hour.
For parents/guardians (at least 1) of NSHS student-athletes (fall, winter and/or spring) attendance at this meeting is MANDATORY. Attendace will be taken. While attendance for parents of student-athletes is mandatory, it is recommeded that parents/guardians of all students attend.
If you are a parent of a student-athlete and are unable to attend the meeting please contact Mr. Mezzanotte at
rmezzanotte@nsps.us as soon as possible. I have attached some informative documents, courtesy of the Hooton Foundation, that you will find helpful in advance of the presentation.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. See you on the 5th!
