Two rowers test positive for steroids
I challenge anyone to name a sport where some athlete somewhere in the world has not been found to be using drugs like steroids in order to compete, to improve their chances of winning.
This week it’s rowing and Taekwondo.
NEW DELHI: Two rowers have tested positive for a steroid and a stimulant in the sample testing conducted by National Anti-Doping Agency during the National Rowing Championships in Hyderabad last month. Out of the 20 samples collected, two turned positive for methylhexaneamine and nandrolone, NADA said. In a similar drive at the Senior National Taekwondo Championships in Delhi in February, one sample contained methylhexaneamine, the release added.
