LaRon Landry (Indianapolis Colts) tests positive for PEDs
The Colts safety was busted for a positive test during the season. At the very time many NFL players are returning from performance-enhancing drug suspensions, the Indianapolis Colts have learned that they’ll be without starting safety LaRon Landry for the next four weeksdue to a positive test. The NFL and the NFLPA revamped the drug policy this season to, amongst other things, allow certain PED offenders more lenient punishments. However, because Landry tested positive during the season, he will not avoid missing time. He will be eligible to return to practice on Monday, October 27 following the team’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Landry, a former sixth-overall draft pick of Washington, has played with the Colts since signing with the team in 2013. In his 16 regular season games with the team, Landry registered 110 tackles, one sack, and zero interceptions. Replacing him in the starting lineup will be Sergio Brown, a fourth-year defensive back who previously played with theNew England Patriots. http://preview.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/laron-landry-suspended-4-games-for-peds/ar-BB6qAEx
