Chris Weidman Says He Would Not Be Surprised If UFC Fighters Were On Steroids

Vitor Belfort

Current UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman spoke with Fight Hub TV in a really short interview about two things. His former enemy and former Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva, does Weidman miss fighting Silva? Also his take on recent comments that Vitor Belfort had to say about UFC Fighters on Steroids.

Check out the interview down below.

Are You Tired Of Hearing About Anderson Silva? “No, No, i miss Anderson Silva. “I miss talking about him, I miss hearing about him….Uh i miss fighting him. So it’s sad.”

Vitor Belfort Said That Most Fighters Are On Steroids, What Is Your Take? “I got no, uh, I got no facts on that. But I wouldn’t be surprised. I would say that. “

Weidman is coming off of his first title defense with a win over Anderson Silva last December and now is set to face Lyoto Machida at UFC 175 in July.

Weidman was supposed to face Vitor Belfort at UFC 173, but Belfort withdrew from his title bout at UFC 173 and then it was announced that Lyoto Machida will next face Weidman.

With Machida now being the new number one contender, he will have to not only match the fighting style of Weidman on the ground, but on the feet with Weidman. No doubt it will be an interesting match-up between the two fighters.

Machida is coming into this fight with two wins in the Middleweight division. He beat Mark Munoz with a nasty head kick back in October 26 of 2013 and then most recently a unanimous Decision win over Gegard Mousasi in February of this year.
