Sheriff’s Office suspends 8 deputies for using, selling steroids

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office opens an investigation and suspends eight of its deputies following reports of employees using, distributing and selling steroids. Those involved are with the detention bureau, the sheriff’s office says. This includes two corporals.

The sheriff’s office identifies the detention deputies involved as a 27-year-old man, employed with the department for four years, a 28-year-old man, employed with the department for four-and-one-half years, a 40-year-old man, with the department for 16 years, a 27-year-old man, with the department for six-and-one-half years, a 29-year-old man, with the department for three years, a 46-year-old man, employed with the department for 15 years, a 28-year-old man, with the department for 3 years and a 25-year-old woman, with the department for three years.… Continue Reading...

An illegal steroids ring peddling $8 million in the drugs to more than 50 people in the metro area has been busted, authorities said Wednesday.

Nine men were arrested for using a bogus company, Wellness Fitness Nutrition, as their front, officials said.

Univ of Nebraska – Lincoln accused of selling/using steroids

A University of Nebraska-Lincoln professor is in jail on suspicion of buying and selling steroids.

Investigators got a complaint in August that Jeffrey McCray, 43, of 1830 N. 58th St., was using and selling anabolic steroids for bodybuilding competitions, according to a probable cause affidavit for his arrest.

McCray is an associate professor at the Glenn Korff School of Music.

An employee of the Lynnfield Post Office pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court Wednesday to purchasing and importing anabolic steroids, the US Attorney’s office announced in a statement

John Psehoyas, 54, a customer service representative, was charged with one count of importing importing anabolic steroids, the statement said.
