Steroids sold openly on social media sites
STEROIDS have become easily available on social media sites such as Facebook these days because of people’s obsession with wanting well-sculpted bodies, reported Berita Harian. The drugs are sold between RM90 and RM350, depending on the type and are usually purchased by young people who are into bodybuilding or those who want to buff up their bodies within a short period of time. There have been Facebook accounts opened up by people who register themselves as “special bodybuilding groups”.
They sell steroids which are said to help pack on muscle, reduce fat and increase energy.
Reporters from the daily found that the substances were brought in from various countries such as Italy and Germany. Those selling the steroids also help supply needles that make it easier to administer the drug in liquid form. The steroids are also sold in the form of pills Apparently, some gyms and their instructors also provide services of injecting steroids as well as offer advice on medicine that needs to be taken to stabilise the effects of the steroids. http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2014/10/20/Steroids-sold-openly-on-social-media-sites/
