Image result for taylor hooton foundation logo Position Title:              Education Program Manager Department:               Hoot’s Chalk Talk – Business Development Reports to:                   Director of Education Position Summary:    An Education Program Manager markets, sells and delivers Hoot’s Chalk Talk (HCT) Education Assembly Programs.  These programs are delivered in schools and other venues across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America to coaches associations, athletic associations, professional groups, students, student athletes and other adult influencers.  This position responsibilities include sales (phone and face to face), coordination / concept messaging of HCT programs, and performance as a speaker.  This position will also require the employee to help and work Foundation fundraising events. Moderate to heavy travel is required.  The ideal candidate will be a multi-lingual native Spanish speaker who has a strong personality that will allow them to be a valued and respected THF Ambassador to Latin America baseball. Responsibilities: Primary Responsibility of the position – generating Hoot’s Chalk Talk (HCT) program activity: 
  • Sales and Marketing of HCT Educational Programs- U.S. & Canada
  • Prospecting potential customers for HCT programs
    • Average of 50-75 outbound phone calls per day
    • Tracking of all customer/prospect information into THF CRM system
  • Development and maintenance of individual revenue plans and forecasts development of programs targeted at acquiring new accounts
  • Identification and development of new markets and revenue opportunities for HCT programs
    • Adding 25 new prospects each week to the CRM
  • Identification and development of new channel opportunities for HCT programs
  • Public Speaking: Delivering HCT programs in various venues including schools, auditoriums and stadiums
  • Assist in the development of an annual marketing plan, annual budget plan, and an annual business plan
  • Act as a THF representative to assigned industry organizations
  • Provide guidance to support staff on HCT issues and all fundraising events
  • Promote and deliver HCT Educational Programs In Latin America
  • Schedule and deliver programs to participants in the RBI program, other institutional baseball leagues, as well as to local high schools and other groups of young baseball players and coaches in 4-5 countries in the Caribbean.
  • The programs will be delivered on behalf of Major League Baseball
  • Working with professional baseball teams to deliver HCT’s to their players
  • Managing contacts and other information in the THF CRM, Salesforce
  • Interface and work very closely with Major League Baseball staff in delivering education messages to the youth in the Dominican Republic and Latin America.
Home office
  • The Education Program Manager is expected to maintain a home office
  • THF will provide a lap top computer and Internet service for the home office ( with the Internet service not to exceed $40.00 per month)
  • THF will provide land line phone service
THF Representative
  • With guidance of the Executive Staff, develop and maintain positive relationships with key donors and corporate sponsors
  • Participate in local and national conferences, fundraisers, trade shows, and associations as assigned
  • At the direction of the Executive Staff, you will participate in fundraiser opportunities and donor follow up
 Full time position Employee to Devote Full Time to Company.  The Employee will devote full time, attention, and energies to the business of THF. Schedule
  • Standard work week: 40 hours M-F
  • Standard THF business hours: 8:30AM – 5:30PM
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree
  • Strong personal drive and desire to impact the lives of young people
  • Strong public speaking skills.  Public speaking experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that will aid you in building relationships
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask
