High school student arrested for steroid possession – at school

Too many of our young people equate steroids with supplements.  They forget that these are controlled substances and that to possess them without a  LEGITIMATE prescription is against the law and that they can be arrested and put in jail.

A Southington High School student was arrested Wednesday after police say he was in possession of anabolic steroids at the school.

Brian Cunningham, 18, was charged with possession of a controlled substance. He was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Bristol Superior Court on April 22.

Police did not say how they became aware of the situation.
