Not that it's a push, but for Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, it is status quo. For the third time in the list's four-year history, the ol' oil wildcatter has rambled and gambled his way to the top of the Dallas Observer's 50 Most Powerful People in Metroplex Sports.

SAN DIEGO -- Everyone wants to see the Dodgers' Manny Ramirez. I'd rather see Taylor Hooton.

Everyone wants to wrap their arms around Ramirez -- with jeers or cheers. I'd rather watch Hooton and his father, Don, share a loving embrace.

Ramirez will return Friday night against the Padres after serving a 50-game suspension for violating baseball's drug policy. Taylor, a promising 16-year-old pitcher, is never coming back.
