EDMONTON – Cops say they’ve pulled $160,000 worth of illegal steroids off the street after a bust by the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT).
ALERT’s Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU-Edmonton) charged one man and the seized more than $160,000 in drugs.
On Sept. 26, 2013, CFSEU-Edmonton intercepted two packages sent through Canada Post that contained vials of anabolic steroids.
During a search of a home, police found 1,350 vials of various types of anabolic steroids, derivatives of steroids, drug trafficking paraphernalia, a Taser and over $29,000 in cash.
The approximate street value of the drugs is estimated at over $160,000.
Richard Dustin Cosman, 32, is charged with two counts of trafficking of a controlled substance, one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking of a controlled substance, one count of possession of a prohibited weapon, and three counts of breach of a court order.
He’s scheduled to appear in court Monday.
